The upcoming second Art-Talk-Show organized by Bengal Art Initiative (BAI)

In this winter BAI initiates to organize an art talk show at Abanindra Sabhagriho, Charukala Bhawan (Auditorium of Art Council of Govt. of West Bengal) where BAI’s first art talk program was organized just one year ago. In this program recognized young painter & sculptor Partha Dasgupta will speak on his ceramic art that he has created successfully during long years back. At present he engaged himself in the development of pavilion designing of Sharod festivals aesthetically which is more attractive & innovative, no doubt the viewers might have a scope to reach the goal of re-thinking on his installation projects. Another one artist & art writer Tapan Bhattacharya will speak on the contemporary art & its problems. Tapan Bhattacharya is well-known art writer in Bengal & other places in India also he is a working artist, as a committed painter he exhibited & participated in different gallery shows in India. Both speakers will deliver their speeches on the different perspectives of contemporary art. Prof. Sunanda K Sanyal, Critical Art History, Boston Art Institute will moderate this program and last year Prof. Sanyal delivered a fantastic speech on few non-western artists’ works that are indicated as ‘Post Theme’ or ‘Post Medium’. At the beginning of the program, the announcer will read a short message on behalf of BAI’s mission statement and then the real program will be going up to 9pm including 10 min. break. All associated websites and blog sites such as Globalthek, BanglaBlog, BanglaBlogaru and BAI’s own blog ‘Let’s Talk Together’will publish news and information jointly via Facebook , Google page etc. We, the members of BAI call our friends for attending this program on aforesaid date & time.
