An old drawing

An old pastel and ink drawing

Few mixed media series works on paper I did around in 1995 which one I place here as a cropped image. This is also a mixed media layout for a bigger canvas work but that was not finished at all. I was then much interested to work with pastels dry or oil etc., on the ink drawing, specifically which was fountain ink and I got some pleasure for this work in the name of  ‘The dance of ghosts’

  1. It is a very strong and intense piece but there is a great deal of vitality so it is a passionate drawing. The gestures seem fluid and exuberant – so I do not see anything negative. The colours and forms are playfully rendered and with abandon. A lovely piece – well worth sharing again.

I’m so much pleased and thank you so much for a perfect comment and appreciation. So long years back when I submitted a photo of this drawing with an application letter to the rental gallery authority for booking an exhibition room, one of the selection committee member commented -” What’s it?..Is it a drawing!!” and now so many years later this is approved by an artist who is living in a country thousand thousand miles away from my home land. I can realize it that this belongs to the time and space condition that you have brought out today! Time is good judge, Thank you!
